Does anyone still have the instructions? The links are dead.

I think Michael's approach on the ratio adjustment is spot on. I am spinning up a 12x48 demo for a thin low power glow backlight technique that I expect will lead to a pretty decent contract. Normally I'd do some variation of my brand for such a thing but I saw this thread the day I was reviewing the display specs for this new demo piece and thought "why not build it with some style".

Anyway, while I wait on the real material to show up I tossed some aluminum stock from another gig on the cnc with a marker to get a sense of the real world display characteristics.

I figure even if I don't land this one, I'll still have an interesting novelty for my shop.

Remember my dimensions are not true scale, but it should help with the general assembly.

Wow, might be worth using the original vector and doing a 136" version on some aluminum sheet. I've been tinkering with the geometry this past week for the presentation one I'm doing. The optima and irisupc fonts are close but needed tuning. Still isn't quite where I want it so I haven't begun cutting any vinyl for the acrylic sheet but it is getting closer I think:

Years back when I was going to attempt this, I couldn't find a sign shop near me able to print it like Michael did, unfortunately.

Thanks Michael. But for some reason I can't see any of the pictures. I signed up and have an account with DMCtoday. But everytime I click on a picture to see it it says "I'm Sorry, you are not authorized to view this page. For assistance contact the site administrator." I'm not sure what to do.

Our site just changed servers and it's weird. Send me a pm with your user name and I will get it sorted. It's not supposed to be like that.

I apologize for not getting back with you. I emailed one of the Admins and they validated my account. Now I can see all the pictures.

The "signed" picture is that full size then? (As in I can download the image and give to my Printer?)

The one I uploaded is A: Not the correct ratio and B: not vectored. So the print shop will have to size it to whatever size you want. The one another member uploaded is the right ratio and dimensions but I don't know if it's vectored or actual size. As long as it is in vector format, the print shop will have no problem making it whatever size is needed.
