Me too! Thanks dude. In defense of PJ Grady, as that was one of their struts, it was old. I'd say about 4-5 years old, and has been removed and installed countless times in the last few months. I currently have SpecialT's "Soft-Lift" struts in right now. I hear Grady sells the same ones now.

Seeing how this is in the The Picture Zone under open discussion, and the lead-in of the thread title, is this thread going to be a spot to post pictures of surprise stuff thats happened to you? If so, I got a good one from last night... (and no, not THAT)

You got the ones that blow the door open

Do your door fly open and bang at the top. Looks like the metal must have had a fracture.

Shit. My heart skipped a beat or two when I saw that photo. I remember the jolts I got when the weight of the door collapsed on the rod I had holding it up when I changed out my struts. I can't imagine what your experience would have been like.

    Glad you weren't hurt.

To paraphrase Michael Cain: you weren't supposed to blow the bloody doors off!

HA HA HA!! That's good!! I love it! I've been half heartedly looking for the info on the strut specs. I'd love to know just what PSI my eyeball narrowly avoided... Damn I wish I woulda had a camera for that.
