Spotted on the WA-3, eastbound coming back from Belfair. When he passed he looked to sporting a Tom Selleck 'stache!

It's a '78 Type 2 Westfalia like Dermot said. I'd give you the VIN but that doesn't really mean shit in the VW community. Wanna look crazy in front of VW people? Show up introduce yourself with the last four of your VIN too. Yeeeeah, blank stare. But hey, it's rear engined that's gotta count for something.
Edit: This was the one time I really wished that bus was blue.
Dermot, how the hell could you see that?

The rear windows curves is a dead giveaway of the T2

I can't make out the license plate, but I only met 2 other owners when I lived on the Central Coast, both in San Luis Obispo (just a few miles north of Pismo Beach). That is neither of them. The guy I know actually FB messaged me last month with a picture of his and 2 other D's in Lompoc (~40 miles south of Pismo Beach).

Very nice! 1990 Westfalia greetings to you. Best decision ever to by a Westfalia. Have already made some great memories with it. I take my "watercooled hat" off to you. I did not have the guts to get an aircooled one.
And hey: rear engine, front radiator. It is like a camperized D!

The way I see it, if you're gonna drive around in a car, why not do it with some style?
