What are the part numbers from the Volvo CPR / Fuel Distributor / Ignition Distributor and Air metering unit? If they are the same as we have here in the UK then you could transplant those parts onto the D engine for a little extra power.

And it even runs well enough to make it through a whole parade! That’s a punishing afternoon for even the best cars - so it’s definitely something to be proud of!

My muffler heat shield is peeling apart (new-ish DMCH one) and it might be time to take it down and put some of that heat reflective tape on it. Does it come in a silver tone?

Is that a proven swap? I dont see how a different set of injectors, CPR or meter would gain power over the US DMC parts if both were tuned to maximum efficiency. A larger injector won't make more power if there isnt more air to go with it.
Ill definitely try all the parts to see if they work well atleast.

Injectors off to be cleaned and balanced this week.

I do know the distributor has a more aggressive curve, and I have installed a volvo dizzy years ago after my old one died, there was a subtle improvement.

Meter: 0 438 100 105
Injectors: 0 437 502 022

US DMC parts :

CPR: 0 438 140 066
Meter: 0 438 100 109

Yeah search Summit. Heat barrier, heat wrap, heat shield tape.

The air metering flap on the Volvo should be larger, 88mm wide vs a 78mm flap on the stock DeLorean metering unit.

Correct, the Volvo ignition dizzy has a better mid range advance curve.

For info here is a list of Bosch part numbers for the Volvo 260 and 760 (although only the 760 lists as B28 E/F)

Oh the air meter is larger? Ill have to go measure that. I was hoping the throttle body would be bigger but they are identical, although somehow the throttle off that beat to hell volvo with 4 times the mileage is much smoother and tighter operating than my dmc unit.

Measured my Dmc vs volvo metering body, both are 80mm. So no real Difference in the bodies I can tell beside the pipe of agony connection is different.
