Chassis 1374 is out of the hanger.

Today I was finally able to take delivery of my Delorean. This one has sat in a Hanger for 14 years. The former owner and I pushed the car out and down to the plane rack so I could clean the dust off. I had her transported to my shop where work will soon begain to bring her back to life.

Congratulations on the delorean. The Pacific Northwest Delorean Culb is a great club to join. Talk to Arnie Brandon he is on the forum. Also there is a great place in Bellevue for all the parts you need- DMC northwest. Talk with Toby.

Very cool find! I love it.

The chassis may 1374, but that doesn't look like the VIN number to me. It has the grooved hood with no gas flap. If it were VIN 1374 it would have a gas flap, unless the hood has been changed out.

Good luck with your project. Looks like you have a good Delorean to start with.

haha, I noticed that first thing too. Though it does definitely have the dark rims and any car with dark rims would have definitely come with a gas flap. Perhaps the gentleman who stowed it in the hanger can solve this mystery.

I don't suppose it was stored in the hanger with a completely Dry fuel system. If it was, your are lucky. If not please take photos of the mess inside the tank and other pieces. I assume you did not start the car prior to purchase because you did your research here or other places on the web telling you to never attempt to start a Delorean that has sat for an excessive period of time without cleaning the fuel system first.

We will look forward to your resurrection progress photos.
