You can't buy happiness, but you can buy a DeLorean and that's sort of the same thing....

Had some photos taken for our anniversary and asked the photographer to get a few shots of just the car.

Here is the album link for imgur. The photos are pretty large so I didn't want to put them all here.

    BTTF II Day picture

We did a photo shoot at work, Los Alamos National Laboratory (no, they won't give me any of the "good stuff"). The deputy director of the high magnetic field laboratory contacted me about a public outreach thing the labs are doing for BTTF day and wanted me to bring my car by since they have a 1.21GW generator. It's gigantic. The idea is you use the power grid to spin up a flywheel - a really BIG one. The bearings that support the shaft for this flywheel weigh 60 tons each. Then you dump all that stored rotational energy back into the motor (now a generator) over a short duration, like 1 second, and into an electromagnet. This is how they reached a world record of a 100 Tesla field in a magnet that didn't rapidly disassemble.

Photographer at my friends wedding freaked when he saw I had brought the DeLorean, so he insisted on using it for some shots.

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

Not sure if the photo is going to attach properly, but this is one of the first photos of me and my car - just got it last week (10/21/15)!
