What octane fuel do you prefer for your Delorean?

Just a little survey to see what you guys prefer. European cars generally prefer higher octane fuel. My 1st car was a 1982 BMW 320i 1.8 liter 4 cylinder. If you ran regular it ran awful. If you put 89 in it, it did much better. Never put 93 in it.

I always use 93, but that's out of habit more than anything else. My daily driver requires 91 (and it's rare to find a station that sells 91), so I have gotten very used to buying 93 every time I pulled up at the pump.

It's not worth remembering that the DeLorean doesn't necessarily need 93, so that's what I put in it.

87 octane has never proven to be a problem in my D.

Higher compression and timing at 19 degrees, so I run 93.

    91 - 93 octane in Vancouver averages $6/gallon.

    87 wins by default.

So far 87 is in 1st place with 93 running second.

Where I live the gas stations started selling non-ethanol gas for classic cars and boats. I know a guy with a 79 308 GTB Ferrari that uses non-ethanol gas and it works great! Pricey though.

I was using 89, but recently I tried 91 with zero ethanol and the D seems to run better that way.

I know I'd run like crap on 87. My dad occasionally puts 89 in his 98 vette if he's driving a trip and it's all highway; otherwise we both use 93.
