I had a bunch of pulleys made, and dropped them all off at the powder coat guy to clear coat them!! It'll take a week or so! In mean time going out of town.

So when I dropped off the pulleys the guy told me it will take about 2-3 weeks to get them done! First he said probably a week!
Well I just recently got them, after so long and they are messed up!!!! I am very dissappointed, upset, angry!
I gave him perfectly fresh, straight from the CNC machine, billet pulleys! All I asked was for clear coat on them!! They told me it took so long because they accidently had them powder coated black, they had to sandblast them. The clear coat came out sloppy! Some came out sort of a greyish look, other bad, others with black little spots ont hem, others seem as if they have been wire brushed all these scratches!
I brought the pulleys back to them! I told the guy that they are sloppy and about the ones with scratches, he said they didn't do it, that how I gave it to them! Yea right!
Lets see how long this will take!! I think I should put an order for another batch just incase!

That is clearly the powder coaters mistake. That is really unacceptable, they should pay to have them remade. If they can't get a simple order correct, they have major issues. What's worse is they lied to you about it. Was this a reputable shop?

I would not give up on those pulleys just yet. You can probably chuck them up in a manual lathe. Then spin them at a fast rate while holding a scotch pad against the face. This will give them a spun brushed look. Then finish them with clear powder coat or clear anodize.

I was searching online for a local place, found these guys http://www.acemetalfinishingservices.com/ When I contacted them everything went quick smooth! After I dropped off the stuff it became hard to reach them! Their website writes they do more than just powder coat! I wanted to chrome out the back of the A/C compressor plate, since I bought a new A/C compressor that is chrome! The guy told me they dont do that even thought the website writes it! Weird!
