    Engine Starts, stops after3 seconds.

DMC #801; Engine starts, then stops after 3 seconds. Can hear the pump prime every time, after the engine starts, the engine quits. I have felt the pump, it stops pumping after it starts. Once the engine stops, I hear a gurgling in the tank. Any suggestions? Can the fuel pick-up in the tank collapse? What else could it be? Checked fuse # 1 & 7. Jumpered RPM relay Terminals # 87 & 30. Same results. Could it be the fuel relay? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jump the RPM relay and see if that solves it temporarily.

Purple to brown if I remember correctly. Been a LONG time since I've done it.

I already did. Please excuse the messy picture. This was before I cleaned up my engine bay.

    He said he'd done that.

    Gurgling in the tank?
    - Problems with the check valve?
    - Original baffle setup? Check for a ruptured in-tank fuel hose.
    - Probably not ground, but check that while you're in there.

Hence the colour of the wires (since I dont know the numbers cold like you) and the statement that I had not done it in a long time, nor do I have anything in front of me to help at the moment.

When jumped, does it run indefinitely with the key on, or does it stop only after the engine catches for a moment?
