Can a cat damage my hood?

    Hey all,

Weird question. My GF decided to feed this stray cat a few weeks ago...now it's taken up semi-permanent residence in our garage. The moment that happened, I put my Wolf cover on the car so the cat (who seems pretty mellow) wouldn't mess with the car - just as a precaution.

Well, he/she/it has decided it likes to sleep on the hood. The cat has only been in the garage overnight twice now, and it's a skinny cat. But still - can the weight of a cat damage a DeLorean hood? Again, the car is covered with a thick Wolf cover, but I'm thinking Hood-X, etc...

errr, no. The weight of a cat will not give you hood-X.

Now if it were a duck, that would be a whole different problem.

The cat may however, shred the car cover, shed on the car cover, spray on the wheels if feeling territorial, hide in the engine bay if cold and scratch the stainless if you leave the windows open and it tries to get inside.

    So no worries, really.

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

HAHA - OK. Well, I don't leave the windows open. The car is always under the cover when parked in the garage. So far it doesn't appear the cat has damaged the cover in any way. Still...I will discuss this with the GF and see if we can reach a compromise.

Whoa! Welcome back man. I've been wondering what happened to you.

We have a few stray cats on my street and they have a habit of getting on my cars as well. I'm to lazy to put a car cover on 16510 so it has several scratches on the hood. Its just something I've learned to live with. Its just part of life I guess.

Compromise means one of two things in a relationship. It involves both of you coming to a solution that she can agree on. Basically either she gets her way or you end up a single man. Trust me, I know.
