Bloomington Gold Survivor Car Show - June 26, 2011

Bloomington Gold Survivor Car Show in St. Charles, Illinois. This show takes place on the same weekend
and at the same location as the Corvette Bloomington Gold Show (sound familiar...DCS 2006). We will
have at least one very rare "Survivor" DeLorean competing in this very prestigious event this year, to help
celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Production DeLorean automobile.

Congrats to Mike McElhattan winning Survivor Certification. As some of you know,
Mike is the Lead Tech at Dave Swingle's shop, DMC Midwest in Crystal Lake, IL.

Although I do not have the specific stats on the judging, Mike scored well into the
upper 90's (out of 100) to win the Survivor Certification for cars 30(+) years old,
but less than 40 years old. There were only a small handfull of cars that scored
higher (in the 40+ year old class) including a Ferrari that was valued over $500k.

Yesterday was a great day for a car show on the golf course at Pheasant Run in
St. Charles, IL and just enough shade for the car owners to be comfortable too.

I will post a few photos when I get a chance to download high resolution photos
from my other camera later this week. A great start for DMC 30th Anniversary.

Thanks again to Mike and his brother for participating in this event, since we may
get some very good PR out of this one. Thanks to Jason too, for stopping by.

BTW: There may be an upcoming photo feature acrticle of Mike's car in the U.S.
version of Collector Car Weekly...reporter took dozens of photos and spent over
a half hour with Mike's car (more than double the time than with the Ferrari).
Overall, a really nice day promoting the DeLorean marquee.

Sorry these photos took a little longer to get posted than I had expected,
but I have been busy getting things organized for the British Car Road Rally
this coming Saturday and the Barrington Concours on this Sunday.
