    Two-part answer:

    1. The 2 Otterstat wires: Solid green wire + black-orange wire - both end in a single rectangular female spade fitting with rectangular black plastic sheath.

    2. To solve PO-hacked wiring mysteries such as this you'll want to get familiar with the handy color-coded D wiring diagram posted in the Resources section (sticky). The Otterstat is component #190, found in quadrant F9 on the diagram:

    When you put in the new pipe and O'stat be sure the O'stat tee fitting is facing down, not up. Wire terminals pointing downward. No trapped air.
