Man this is totally subjective but I have always really hated that thick side stripe.

Ken's got a great D in his inventory. If I were in the market, i'd be on that car in a second. It's exactly what I would be looking for.

+1 on that. I think it detracts from the car... making it look more dated. I think the black rubber bumper strip that runs down the length of both sides of the car is all you need.

Back in the day I had an 83 full-size Bronco with a thick graphic like that on the side. I hated it.

But to each his own. This might be a interesting topic to poll.

...that poll would need a lot of options...I like it being dated (speaks for the designers and caretakers) even more than I do the look lol

It's funny I also hated the stripe, when I got my car it came with the stripe, and I now love it, it breaks up the stainless. It also helps to differentiate my car because most don't have it.

Ron, I know nothing about the striping. Was is a dealer option? I assume they didn't come from the factory that way, or did they?. On the other hand I'm sure anyone could have them made today if desired.

IMO - the entire car has a timeless look both inside and out, with the exception of this optional thick graphic.

When I first heard about the stripes I thought I wouldn't like them, but after I starting seeing them in person I like them now!

The stripes were an dealer option I believe. You had 2 types, the small pin stripes and the large black stripe.
