Check this out, pretty good for a $500 starting bid and 1200 to buy. Lets hope this one gets restored someday! I would take it but Im knee deep in 774 right now already.

Anybody else know anything about this car? VIN#?

I like the "trust me" part

Clear title – The AutoCheck reflects a score of 68 with a range of 63-74. Vin# will be provided to the winning bidder only.

Honestly, win the bid and I'll show you the carfax. No, honestly it's good. You can trust me........

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

I don't know what DMCH would pay for a clear title and plates, but I would think since they can make a 57k+ car out of it, it would be worth 500 to them anyway.

Mileage (49,526) is too high for Houston. If anyone has questions on the frame or pontoon, PM me.

    Kirk,

my point was that if I was interested in buying a car off ebay (or a dealer), I would expect the seller to provide the VIN up front, so that I could run a carfax/autocheck myself; or have the seller provide a recent CF/AC, with the VIN displayed on it.

Rightly or wrongly, an ebay seller saying "I'll give you the VIN # after you buy it", makes me think he is hiding something.

On ebay, one is just a generic seller. A similar post on here, from a known and respected member (such as yourself), would not generate the same comments.

Fair enough, my apologies but please do not assume I'm hiding something. Any serious buyer is welcome to come see the pontoon and frame anytime.

I don't understand, what is the reason for not posting the VIN number?

With just a quick search on eBay, the first three cars I clicked on all have the VIN number listed:

    VIN SCEDT26T3BD001540
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1981-...ht_1348wt_1196

    VIN SCEDT26T5BD004245
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Back-...item2a230012d1

    VIN SCEDT26T4BD002468
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1981-...t_17936wt_1101

Not promoting any of these cars, just using them as examples.
Does it have a flux capacitor?
Does it run on 1.21 Giggawatts?
Have you been chased by terrorist?

No but I have been chased by ladies because it’s a chick magnet!

If Steve Rice wins this auction, he will pay you AFTER he gets the VIN number. Otherwise, you will receive negative feedback.
