    Thoughts on DMC-Ev

I am very hyped for this, but what about some real DMC-12 owners? What are your thoughts on DMC's new delorean?
It has 260 HP with a top speed of 125 mph, and it's electric! Looks like a classic D but a new interior I think. So, thoughts!😄

    I like it...

But at over $100,000... looks like I will never have one...

Steve Rice has a daily commute of 70+ miles. This car would never work for him.

On another note, none of these EV cars would be able to make it to DCS under their own power.

Steve Rice wouldn't even have one at $20k. It just isn't practical.

I love the idea behind it. And if it were something with insane hp and a bit better range, it wouldn't be bad. But I'm the end, I myself just wouldn't buy one. It's nothing against DMCH, or politics, but rather the price of the batteries. You can overhaul an engine, but batteries are a consumable part, and astronomically expensive to replace. I know that those batteries will one day fail and need replacement. I just don't like the idea of a ticking financial bomb that will blow my car up into a money pit. Be it a DeLorean, a Prius, Volt, or anything else.

Yah, I think the batterie only lasts 7 years. And at about $100,000 it might be better to keep $50,000 dollars and buy a normal DMC-12.

Well, DMCs stats sheet on their website says that the battery will last 7 years...

    ah...

Really.... "Batteries" are not $100,000 or $50,000... The CAR costs a lot.. but it is NOT the price of the batteries....

I meant the DMC-Ev costs $100,000 and a normal D costs about $50,000 used form DMC. But yah, I agree for the most part with you.
