    My VIN:    Formerly 2329

After trying many different locations for screens of all types (Chinese GPS unit, small monitor, Galaxy phone, etc..) I've come to the conclusion there is NO good location to put in a screen. The glare from our very sharply raked windshields and from the side glass that is so high up in the doors pretty much washes everything out. At night, great. Daytime, nope.

I think I have mentioned it many times before:

    JVC KD-AVX55 or 77

    http://jdl.jvc-europe.com/product.ph...d=100100&lg=de

I've had it for 3-4 years now and I woiuld buy it again !

no GPS but backup camera, Bluetooth, DVD, USB (I have a 2 1/2"HDD connected to it),
touchscreen....it plays even songs from my iPhone via bluetooth
Display is bright and sits great in the center console so that there are no sun problems.

I've watched about 50 episodes of 2 1/2 men on it on our trip thru Austria,
let BTTF run on it at car meetings...

Put a magnet in the battery compartment of the remote and it sticks to the
    center cosole.

I haven't seen anything better yet.

Take a look - that's how the JVC KD-AVX77 looks like installed in a Delorean.

One picture is of a standard background and the other one is with the rearview camera
    activated.

I usually have HDD connected to it with tons of music an movies.

I have gone for the 'swap radio and vents' (aka Chris Hawes option) to allow for a flip-up screen; actually a VGA monitor with integrated radio. I don't have anything to connect it to yet but I intend to put in a car PC (with GPS + mapping software + blu-ray) at a later date : maybe in a rear cubbyhole. Limited funds ATM due to hoping to get one of Josh's upcoming Legend-style TT engines!
