If your referring to the black wide stripe midway down the car, you are incorrect.

Both styles of stripes were dealer options, they were applied as per owners tastes and had nothing to do with interior color.

My car is an original black interior auto that had a thin grey stripe when it was new. Never seen one with a thin black stripe.

I originally thought this too.
I was told By Stephen Wynne that the strips were intended to compliment the interior color. Black on Black, Grey on Grey. FWIW I believe the Black stripe was offered before they Had grey interiors. When the Grey Interiors came into production they later added the Grey Dealer stripe to compliment it. An owner could pick and choose at the dealership too his or her personal liking. I'm sure some dealerships added the stripes to unsold cars on the lot just to show the different looks.
