If you have the Work Shop manual you will find the step by step on P:03:03

If you use the manual in the resources section (1st thread). It's in the second download section of (BODY)

    It's super easy.

    1. remove coin tray
    2. remove shifter knob
    3. remove shifter face plate (disconnect rheostat if you'd like)
    4. remove brackets in foot wells (one on driver side and one on passenger side)
    5. Remove HVAC panel
    6. Remove 6 nuts (back, midway and front) that bolt it to the fiberglass.
    7. Lift and seperate (hahah)

Notes - you'll find the wire harness and some vacuum lines will be tucked into brackets in the console, so be cautious untangling them during removal and replacement.

Some cars also have the console fastened to the side knee pads. There is one screw on each side, unless they have been removed by a PO.
