    Headlight bucket repair options

I removed one of my headlights for the first time today to see what condition the headlight buckets were in. I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't more rust on them. I've seen others that were covered in much more rust than this.

I took this one out and started working on cleaning it up with a wire wheel. Then I began to wonder if anyone has ever used POR15 instead of a rustoleum spray paint to prevent future rusting. Anyone gone that route before?

I wire wheeled the hell out of mine, then POR 15'd them, I should have coated with enamel after that dried but 3 years later they still look great and havent faded because there is not sun light degrading the paint. But powder coating the the best if you can afford that.
