It's kind of bitter sweet what BTTF has done for Christopher Lloyd's career. It seems every time he guest stars on a tv show its so they can riddle the script with references as far back as Spin City. Don't get me wrong, I'm not pulling a Chad here, his legacy will be defined by that trilogy, like the car, but the difference is I feel that Christopher Lloyd is a great actor a smaller role, but I loved his performance in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. Meh, I suppose there are worse things to have define ones career. He certainly doesn't seem to upset by it.
I'm reminded of that line from Blue Harvest... "Hi I'm Han Solo, and the only actor whose career isn't ruined by this movie."

I feel the same way, though I attribute it a lot to it being that Lloyd seems like a laid back and good-natured guy. I also think he genuinely loved the role of Doc which is why he not only wanted to do a 4th movie where he and Marty go to ancient Rome but also pretty much jumps at the chance to keep playing him - the live action segments in the cartoon, that foreign electronics commercial, etc. But he's also done the role on Robot Chicken as well, so it seems like he'll do it (and reference it) if it'll make the fans smile. That's cool in my book.
He's done TONS of other shit as well and he's getting lots of regular work. When compared to the rest of his recent resume, the BTTF references are actually pretty small.

John Bigbooté FTW. Even before he was Doc, he was in sci-fi comedies...

Or the judge in Roger Rabbit
He was also in a movie called "The Dream Team" back in 1989 that was really funny. He also had brief roles in both of the recent Piranha movies.
