As usual, and not unlike the original DeLorean Motor Co., Tesla dances to a somewhat different drummer, in this case insisting that the rear doors on the Model X will certainly not be mere gullwing doors but are, rather, falcon wing doors. They can call it what they like. Some marketing genius at work...

About half way down, you can do a "click and drag" on the doors to see them operate. Very cool in how they are hinged in the middle to reduce clearance even more then a normal gullwing.

They are really building this?
Note the doors have two gas struts, one fore, one aft. I have to assume the "falcon wings" are motorized in some way becasue I still don't see how kids in the back seat can reach the door handles.
and wtf tesla, is the phrase "gullwing" not good enough for you? Your PR folks have to come up with "falconwings" Surprised they aren't good ol' 'murican "Eaglewings"
