Progress on this project is at a near-standstill. The mechanic friend (or who I thought was a friend) who was helping me out screwed me over big time. The fucker had my car for a YEAR AND A HALF and gave it back to me in worse shape than when I dropped it off. He's moved on to a different job and is avoiding my phone calls. Son of a bitch.

Anyway, today I pulled out the driver's seat - the very last seat needing upholstery - and the last bits of carpet. Speaking of carpet, the new carpet I had sitting in my garage along with random bits of cloth interior pieces seems to be ruined, needing replacement.

Thanks to said mechanic "friend" I no longer have functional tail/brake lights, the door seals are in shit shape, the entire car needs to be wet-sanded, the seal around the windshield is screwed up, and I have no driver door mirror.

In the interim, I'm prepping the interior shell for sound deadening installation.

Holy crap Chris, sorry to hear that. I had recently just been wondering how the car was coming along.

Thanks. Yeah, it's a shit situation for sure. I'm fucking furious with the guy. I thought he was a nice person and I helped him out with some shit a few times (drove him to Alabama for some personal matters), and he ended up screwing me. All I wanted him to do was give my car a good paint job and fix a few minor things that needed fixing. Instead, he gave me a shit paint job, broke a bunch of stuff, and skipped out on me. What a piece of shit.

The ruined carpet and fabric (thanks to my garage) was just another kick to the balls. I'll press on, but this is a gigantic setback in an already ridiculously long process.

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

I didn't look. I was leaving the parking lot when I saw this.

A freaking Nissan Leaf is why I had to settle for K2000.

I feel your pain bro! That would really piss me off too.

Although if you previously applied for that plate and found out it was taken, the chances of you later seeing that car randomly in all of Georgia are pretty incredible.

Yeah it's pretty crazy. When I did apply and found out it was taken, I figured some other replica builder got extremely lucky. BUT NO.

Who's to say the guy doesn't have a KITT replica but just has that plate on his daily driver? Should have left him a note. Or maybe if he doesn't have a replica of his own and knew he could give up his plates to someone that had one he's release it to you.

    That's some impressive creative thinking.
