    Luggage Rack - Usage Photos

Decided to re-create this thread that was started at the old .com site.

Over the years I have used and seen others use their luggage racks for some common and not so common items. Thought it would be fun to share some photos of the items I have hauled and that I have seen. Hopefully those to contributed will re-post their photos here as well.

I know Raddad has a nice bike adapter for his rack. Also, Mike Substelny found matching angular tool boxes that fit the rack very niclely. Will also have to search for a photo of that for future posting. For the life of me I cannot find a photo of my waterproof hardshell UK case that fits perfectly on the rack. And being 19 degrees outside in the garage I am too lazy/not willing to stage a photo right now. Will add it later :-)

    Thanks.
Yes. They can't open more than a few inches. I was at the mercy of a friend who could unstrap to let me out after reaching a destination. Funny, in all the time the previous post was up no one asked this question and this time it is the first :-)

Wow!!! That's very brave. I would be pretty scared to transport a Kayak.

Do Yakima bike rack parts fit right on to the D racks? Or do you kneed to modify or get a different bike rack attachments?

Good idea, it's always interesting to see all the possibilities of the luggage rack!

I'll say! You wouldn't have to dismember the coke whores to get them in your trunk! Just strap them to the luggage rack! Plus it has the added bonus of being above the engine, so it can keep them warm for later...if you're into that.

    j/k.....seriously.

A few months back I had to change my rear tire, so I hauled my new one to the tire shop, in style.

This thread makes me want to go buy a luggage rack...

I'd love to see more photos of what other people have hauled.

And for those who don't own a luggage rack, once the original stock is gone James has said they will likely not reproduce them due to the general low demand for them.

I picked up a new one for $50 at DCS last year. Call it sheer luck, met the right person at the right time with the right amount of cash in my wallet.

Heres another one I found, this is when I first put the rack on and thought I'd try out my piece of vintage luggage on it.
