    Thank you!
Actually my car is going rounds in the Mediterranean sea.
It left the Evergreen port FL on the MADRID EXPRESS on May 14th.
Then got unloaded on the Italian island of Sardinia (Port Cagliari) on May 23rd. Sat there for about 10 days and got reloaded on the Ship ROZA A to be expected at the port of Piraeus (athens) on June 10th. I am expecting a 3-4 day delay on that.

Right now is has sailed back to Valecia in Spain, on to Costellon de la Plana and finally, I hope, to Barcelona, to finish its long journey.
Wow - I don't think I'd be able to handle that! I stress out over little things enough as it is. I hope you get your car soon and look forward to your initial pictures upon arrival.

Wait. Your car went from Sardinia to Pireaus (correct direction) to Valecia (wrong direction) and then Barcalona? Are you collecting it in Barca? Doesn't seem right. I must be missing something.

    Or is it going Sardinia-Valencia-Barca-Pireaus?

    Right folks!
Its time for me to cover a part of this thread's title "trip to Greece".

    Here goes My whole Timeline:

    February 17th

I become member of this forum

    February 20th

I start looking for a project Delorean on sale.

    February 22nd
Member Lordfly mentions one being sold in DMCFL and sends me a PM with direct emails to them

    February 23rd
I get the first reply from a new salesman in DMCFL with a couple of images and ask for more details

    February 24th to 29th
I keep pushing Tony @ DMCFL for more images to close the deal

March 3rd (at night at a bar having had less than 12 beers)
I get a batch images (posted at the first post of this thread) and give my confirmation of prebooking to Tony over my smart phone (see I am not a show off to write iPhone.DOHHHH!!), while at my 12th beer....

    March 7th
The purchase is closed! The VIN 5992, is now destined to be the only Delorean in Greece. Now it is awaiting for my connection in FL to head to Bonita springs for the pickup and payment.

    March 8th
    I open this thread.

    March 10th
VIN 5992 gets loaded onto a U-HAUL trailer and gets driven across Florida to be stored at Fort Lauderdale until its shipping date.

    March 10th to May10th

Stored at a yard, the day has come to be loaded into its container of CMA CGM # ECMU9125161

    May11th
Container gets transported to Port Everglades FL

    May 14th
Container carrier vessel MADRID EXPRESS of Hapag-Lloyd, sets sail to Cagliary Italy.

    May 27th
First leg completed and container is now unloaded at the port of Cagliari, on the island of Sardinia, Italy. It will stay here for another 7 days until its next Vessel will load it up.

    June 3rd
Vessel Roza A loads up the container and starts its Mediterranean tour with VIN 5992.
Valencia, Castellon le la plana, and now anchored at Barcelona

It was supposed to make the Cagliari - Barcelona - Piraeus (Athens) trip, but it took another 2 ports along the way.

It will not surprise me it its next stop will not be Athens Immediately as expected on June 10th....

Interesting breakdown on your illustrated timeline. So you should have your car Monday if I read this correctly?

I'd go with a safe bet next Monday as soon as the customs get their paperwork all done, to release it.
It is being imported as an ITEM (collectors item) and not a vehicle. I will register it as a classic vehicle and not a daily driver, so a classics car specialist has to put his "John Hancock" on the customs form.

    DAMN!
Ship sailed from Barcelona and is heading to Fos France..... I bet this will not be the last stop until it reaches Piraeus (Port @ Athens)

I suppose I will have my D for another 20 days at sea touring the Mediterranean coasts

I know the feeling (of waiting), bud. Back in 2003, I made the commitment to buy my car, and I sent monthly payments for August, September, and October before finally taking ownership of it on November 11, 2003. Your DeLorean wil be there soon, and we'll all celebrate with/for you when it does!

    Your props look really good!

Actual snippet of a conversation from Sept 2013:

Me: Eddie, I can't wait to get the car back when you're done with it.

Eddie: Yeah, you'll be able to give the car gas, and it won't be - like - embarrassing....
