Lubricating Angle Drive w/o a grease gun?

I have one of the new angle drives from Houston that have a grease fitting to lubricate it with oil from a grease gun. However, I have no other use at the moment FOR a grease gun- and if there's a way to lubricate the angle drive properly without having to buy a tool that will only be used for that one purpose, I'd definitely prefer to save the money for something else. Thanks!

Unscrew the zerk fitting and use grease that comes in a squeeze tube.

We can use grease on it? I thought you were supposed to use SAE80 or 90 oil...

Factory manual says 90W oil. I prefer a very light grease. The oil just runs out.

Grease guns have additional applications other than angle drives (suspensions, steering linkages, etc).

Agreed, the DMC front suspensions has grease fittings on other front suspension parts. At WalMart, they have a mini-grease gun for around $10-$15 which would be fine for this. No need for the normal/big guns.

Also, if you have a riding lawn mower, it may also have front suspensions lubrication points.

There is a mini grease gun I use. It is about the size of your hand and has a little pump. Anyway if you are going to maintain your car there is the investment required to have the proper tools. Always try to buy good ones. Good tools will last and keep you from hurting yourself. Cheap tools will break when you need them the most.
