    Original Refurbished Delorean Radios

This radio has been professionally reconditioned. Everything works including the tape deck and LCD screen.

It also has an auxiliary input installed so any device with an 1/8" cord like and iPod or other MP3 player can be used.

From Houston these are over $600. Get one that has been reconditioned with the added bonus of an aux input.

Pictures upon request, but you know what it looks like. You'll need the knobs and faceplate, but that's about another 10 bucks.

$500 plus shipping. I'd suggest insurance since these are delicate creatures.

    Cheers!

Though the unit originally listed here has sold, I have 2 more units coming back from refurbishment this week; another Craig and an ASI.

As usual, they have been completely professionally refurbished. LCDs and tape decks work and a proper 1/8th inch iPod aux input has been installed.

I actually had a second ASI that I had the craig harness adapted to since i bought it with bare wire AND had a bunch of spare Craig parts. This way I can fit it in my car with my existing harness.

Some people have been sending me PM's regarding the units I have for sale.

Just so people understand why the price of radios are what they are, here is some full disclosure:

I just had 2 ASI's completely refurbished. I paid Toby $25 for one (removed because it didn't work) and $250 on eBay for the other (functioned but dubious tape deck). So I was in to both for $275. The refurb was $335, bringing my total all-in to $610. If I get $500 per radio (which I think is quite fair), my profit is only $390. Now factor in PayPal ($30 per radio) and eBay fees ($50 per radio) and you're looking at about $230. It's barely worth the time, but I enjoy preserving them and believe somebody should.

    Cheers

    Asking $500.

    Craig sold last week.

I will have another refurbished ASI completed by the end of July.

    The usual treatment:

    AM/FM function verified
    Lights and screens working
    New bands for tape deck
    iPod aux input

Mods - could you rename this thread "original refurbished Delorean radios"?

People have been really good about contacting me with their old, often broken radios.

If you have an original craig or asi you want to get rid of, please contact me. If it doesn't work. Ill probably buy it.

    Cheers
