I just saw my grades from this semester and it says I'm on something called a Dean's list, anyone know what this means or if I should care?

You should be proud of your hard work. I would be.

A quick google search will tell you more than we can. Yeah, it's an honour roll type dealie.

Usually, it allows you to sign up for classes early, giving you first pick, or even bump someone out of a class that is full. Sometimes it can help when applying for an overload of classes or waving a prerequisite class.. Pays off later on!

I found it odd I did my best with an overload of credits this last semester (17 credits in one semester) as opposed to before when I was just at 12 credits. I hope it pays off, I'm trying to do my best, so I can graduate, hence I'm taking classes through the summer to hopefully graduate by Spring 2014. Still not sure what I want to major in, I'm just in General studies right now.
Just make sure you don't wait to long deciding on a major...if you knock out all of the general classes first, you will be taking all of the "hard ones" at the same time. The availability of classes comes into play too (here's where being on the Dean's list can pay off, assuming they offer it when you need it...).
