Yep. He told me about that. Welcome to the club. What we do when other club members want to go to this show is meet up at the county building and drive over to the Boardwalk. After the cruise then it's over to Siltanan Park where we can all park together. July gets very hot over there, so if you do go bring an awning if you have one.

Thats a great tip Bruce about the awning. Santa Cruz kinda gets you in this "it's 70 degrees every day, but bring a sweatshirt" mentality. Are you heading to the USS hornet next weekend?? Also, I heard about a mint condition D at the elks lodge yesterday. Was that you? Or the other guy in town with the licence plate "DELOREN" ? Very curious

I was going to take my '55 Ford wagon this year but I've decided to replace the engine in it instead. The thing is, that the new engine is up in Spokane so my buddy will be up that way dropping off my old and picking up the new the first part of July. Don't think it and the tranny will be back in by then. Soooo, it looks like I'll take my D again. I think Rich and Luigi may be going as well.

Change of plans...I'm taking the wagon. To be able to stay together while cruising and at the event, we should meet at the County Building (701 Ocean Street) prior to driving over to the Boardwalk. Now if you want to do the cruise and ensure a good spot at the event, we'd have to get to the Boardwalk at least by 7:00 which would mean meeting at 6:45. However, for the past 2 years we have been forgoing the cruise in favor of getting a good parking spot on the lawn by leaving after the "Breakfast of Champions". Then it wouldn't matter what time we meet, just so we do between 7-7:30 giving us time to register and eat. It's up to you guys. Remember though, there is no saving spots on the lawn at the event, but it can and has been done BUT, it's the luck of the draw.
