I've posted my fair share of sideways images and even had some upside down. If you upload mobile images directly through your phone using Tapatalk, the Tapatalk software reads the orientation and fixes the image accordingly before uploading it to DMCTalk.

What doesn't make sense it that I can use photo editing software like Gimp and the orientation is correct without manipulation. I'd say 19/20 times the pics I take with my iPhone post correctly. Additionally, I have posted the same pic in my resto blog over at Blogspot and it renders the correct orientation. My only issue has been a couple of pics posted on this particular forum. Oh well, no big deal.

I opened the pic in Gimp and re-exported to JPG. Looks like that did the trick.

No, it still makes perfect sense. It's not the photo which is the problem. It's the FORUM software that is the problem, not recognizing the rotation flag with it does it's own resizing to every image uploaded.

sorry to pull out a 3 year old post, but I juts saw this thread and started from page 1...

Uhmm... What reason do they claim when they make you wear that helmet at such altitudes? Why not add knee and elbow pads as well?

I would find a good insurance coverage in your pocket a much better card to play with.

I have already posted this image on my restoration thread with the title:

So you are changing more than your location then? New year, new start?

Yes, I had to move to make the changes to my life that I wanted and I'm still a long way from completing those changes, but I am happier.
