    Nice encounter tonight

Had a nice encounter tonight that I thought I'd share. Took the car out for a little drive and decided to head to Sonic on the way back and bring some milkshakes home. I noticed that a car seemed to be following me for several turns and ended up pulling into the stall next to me at Sonic. It was a lady and her son (maybe ten years old or so), who she said had never seen a DeLorean in person. She told me that her parents had one when she was younger and it was the car she went to prom in. Her son asked all kinds of questions, and was so excited to see one for the first time. He had the sparkle in his eyes that my parents told me I had the first time I saw one as a kid. He politely asked if he could take a picture; I told him of course, opened it up, and let him sit in it while his mom took some pictures. She was so thankful, and told me that she could not express how happy she was for me taking the time with them; her being able to show her son something that was a part of her childhood.

I felt so honored. I remember the first time someone took the time with me as a kid to show me their DeLorean, and I was glad to be able to "pay that forward" tonight.

How do you actually do this?? I have thought about it and every scenario ends up with milkshake on the carpet, even with those cardboard cup-holder things.

    Nice story though.

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

Actually, Sonic is about the only place that works. They use those tall, carton-like drink holders with a handle. Very stable on the passenger side floor. Of course, I still creep home as slowly as possible while avoiding any "spirited" turns. Can't be too careful!

I have some of those hot wheel cars in my car for such an occasion.
I had a kid looking at my Delorean who was obviously not very healthy (tube up his nose) , I gave him that little car, the looks in his eyes (and his parents) was worth 10 times the 2€ for the car. I have about 10 of those HW anyway so I keep them for just such a situation.

I was going to say the same thing! That's the perfect opportunity to have a few Hotwheels on stand-by in the storage compartment. Looking forward to those moments.

I have one BTTF Hot Wheels left. I gave the rest away.

I hope you've created a next generation DeLorean owner. Someone has to take care of these stainless beauties after we're all dead.
