As a side note, this appears to be a "home video" from 1981, so there is a lot of "white balancing" being attempted at the start.
Those of you who shot video back in the early to mid-1980's may recall white balancing the camera settings before shooting video.

    Enjoy !!

Rich, Thanks for the uploading that video!. I'm stilling learning, (and trying absorb), all the early info that I can about these cars that we're all here because of.

I remember renting VHS video cameras in the mid 80's, (Had too document my kids dance recitals and what not).
I DO remember that the cameras I rented had, "Sound.?" Did that get lost in the conversion from VHS to Digital format?

Anyroad, Great additon to the http://www.deloreanpogs.com/ Site!

I love how that one guy is not wearing a tie, (Well, a Shirt also)...

Sorry, the sound was already missing on the VHS tape copy.

Not sure if the mic was not plugged in back then or sound not on copy.

We need to get Farrar to record a narration track in the style of David Attenborough on a nature program.

"Here we see the Pogs in their natural environment.

They gather at sundown at the end of a long day. Note the elaborate plumage on the males trying to attract a mate. "

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

My "Attenborough" is awful, but I've been working with a gentleman from Birmingham, although I doubt I could pass for English at this time.

We'll settle for a Peter Ustinov, or maybe even a Peter Coyote

Back to the Historical Information ...

There have been a few questions surrounding details about a possible "Southeast QAC" that was in the works in the latter part of 1981.

So far, records indicate their was a Southern Regional Office that was being setup for Technical Specialist queries from the Southern Dealers.

More details on the Four "Technical Specialist" Regional Offices coming soon ...

That reminds me of something slightly off topic, Rich: do you have a photo of the DeLorean dealer in Metairie, LA? I live close to the site where it used to be (it's now a shopping center) and could get a photo of the site from as close as I can to the same distance and position, so you can have a "before and after." Only curious.

    Hi Farrar,

There is a lot of interest in seeing what DMC dealerships looked like in the past, inside and out, and of course, what they look like today, if still standing.

We are compiling "before and after" or "80's and now" photos of all the DeLorean Dealerships that were part of the original DeLorean Dealerships List.

Althougth we have not setup a specific email address for new content provisions, feel free to email any details or photos to the following email address:

    [email protected]

Please include any specific details in the email title, such as: POG Found, Photo of Santa Ana QAC in 1981, Photo of DMC dealership in 1980's, etc.

    Thanks,
    Rich W.
