The Centennial of Naval Aviation (CONA) DeLorean display at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station is scheduled for July 30th, 2011. Faisal Jaswal, coordinator of this event, states that he has already filled the 13 positions open to DeLoreans to show on the Flight Line adjacent to the various land and Sea Planes that will be honored by the US Navy for this celebration. This really presents a photo op for the US Navy and the PNDC and the public in general. Base passes have been issued for all DeLoreans scheduled to attend. Faisal may accept additonal members as standby for people who at the last minute cannot make it. Call Faisal at 206/914-5000 or [email protected] to discuss participation.

WOW, Fasial got 12 DeLoreans to appear for this show right on the flight line of Ault Field (Whidbey Island Naval Air Station) in Oak Harbor, WA. The DeLorean display TOTALLY stole the car show part. With all those airplanes, young and old, copters and the model airplane club flying planes all over the place and the old timers doing fly-by's all day, it was one TOTALLY OUTSTANDING show. The coup de grace was all 12 DeLoreans in front of 8 FA-18's. Pictures were taken with the doors up and doors down all in one row. Then we shifted into a diamond formation in front of these outstanding planes and again with the doors up and then the doors down. We will soon have these photos up on our WEB site, WWW.PNDC.ORG for every one to see. A 12 hour show that was very tiring but so very satisfying. With members coming from as far away as Boise, ID., and the TRI Cities area of WA. this show that happened about 100 miles north of Seattle was a very memorable event for our attendees and the PNDC in general. Thanks Faisal for all your work in this endeavor.
