In addition to the roof, the package included special stainless steel rocker, grill and trunk trim. It also has the Oldsmobile sport steering like the 442 / Hursts of that era. The digital dash, which was rare on a stock Toronado, was standard on the Caliente package. Only aprox 5,000 were made.

That's really cool - I love limited/low production factory stuff like that.

    Nice ride

Here's a few pics I took this weekend. I had the 308 at the Italian Car Fest in Grapevine and snapped a couple of pics with it next to the DeLorean as well as others.

So over the past few years I've been restoring an 83 Trans Am. The exterior was pretty nice, but the interior was shot when I got it. Almost every piece of plastic trim, vinyl, weatherstripping, carpet, or cloth on the inside had to be replaced. I did quite a bit of the work myself, but passed it off to a specialty shop for the T-Top weatherstripping, carpet, and seat recovering. I did the dash, console, headliner, and a bunch of other misc stuff. Here is it is after all of that:

Thanks I'm actually the second owner. The first owner did take pretty good care of it mechanically. The interior just baked for 30 years in the Georgia sun
