RammJaeger, Nice Car! I also am in the process of restoring an 83 Trans Am. Did your 83 come with the PMD seats or did you swap those out? I thought those were an 82 only option. Was that the original interior color?

It came with different seats. I swapped out for the PMD seats. The interior color is original. I used to own an 82 with PMD seats and I really liked them, so when I redid the interior I put PMD seats in and had them recovered. Also I have that Knight Rider thing in the back of my mind all the time from watching the show too much as a kid. I don't want to convert it to a KITT car, but I want all the options the Trans Am that KITT was created from had. I'm about to put the "bowling ball" rims on it as well.

I might be crazy, but last month I picked up a new "long term" project car:

1974 Renault R17 Gordini. (R1323)
With a removable hardtop over the cabriolet roof, front-wheel drive, 1.6l cross-flow hemi, D-Jetronic fuel injection.

Hey Mike, This makes two of us. You can add crazy to my name as well. I just towed my other classic about a week ago into my driveway and started the restoration today. Just so you don't feel bad here's a pic... I guess I'll see you ya at the end and looking forward to your progress! lol

Amazing, I didn't know you had such a Renault car in the USA.
Good luck on your restoration project
