    The other thing that seemed pretty odd to me was the lack of skid marks with all that sliding. Almost as if the tires were made of fiberglass. Or ice. . . .

    Seems like the "Drift Tire System" is an actual thing. Some sort of outer ring that fits over the original tire (nylon perhaps?)

    That's the first thing about this thread that makes sense. It would pretty accurately simulate glare-ice driving on all 4 wheels.

    And for guys wanting to play at drifting it would save tires. At the cost of hitting light poles. . .
