Carrigart vintage car show, Co. Donegal, Ireland 14/07/13

I was at this show today. It's a 2-day thing, apparently the second day is always better, but I'll be at a show in my own town and won't be able to go back.
I had to take a half-hour ferry trip to get there and back; I just got aboard the final return crossing literally 2 minutes before it sailed. It was a crazy dash along winding country roads (the D was nice and agile), if I hadn't made the boat it was a 1hr 20 min trip around by road.

Anyway, there was a fairly good turnout, the weather was drizzly all morning but cleared up later.

The Delorean caused a stir, I think it's the first they've ever had there, lots of people were gathering round talking about it. Biggest surprise of all was meeting Nick Sutton's niece!

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

We're actually having a bit of a heatwave at the minute, temperature are up to 30°C, almost unheard of over here... I can't stand the heat!!!

You got me on the Dunmurry question, maybe the engine castings of that Audi?

    So I hear.

Sometimes you just have to get in the water to cool down, though.......

Interesting wheels on the Scirocco - I've never seen those before, but they look OEM.

These are Ronal Turbo wheels, they are after market wheels, and very popular with people who like the Euro look on their cars. (cars slammed very low on small wheels)
