Just got back from this, pretty good show overall. Some nice stuff on display, particularly the Volvo P1800 and the awesome 3-wheeler!
The Model T dates from 1913, still running like clockwork.

Great pictures Martin. Those cars are in fantastic condition (or look to be anyway). Always surprises me some previously really common cars (Cortinas, Escorts etc) have made it to classic-hood without being completely trashed.

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

The amount of stuff I drool over and reminise about now I used to scoff at years go....as you say Dermot how some of them have made it to classic-hood without getting trashed is great.

I've been to a couple of Vauxhall Opel Bedford Association shows in England and the majority of cars that are on display are the bog standard models not the high performance models Vauxhall produced.

I love the Vauxhall Nova two door saloons, back in the day if you were seen in one of them you were seen as a someone with not much money, thats me putting it nicely

    Thanks for the comments guys!

David - There's a good chance I may have spoken to your mate! I remember talking to a few people with northern accents. There were a lot of tourists there.
How's your coming along? There's a show in Garvagh near Coleraine on the 7th of September, if your car's on the road, you should call over. Or even if it's not, just call anyway! There should be at least 2 D's there if last year was anything to go by.
You should have been at Kilbroney a couple of months ago, there were 5 of us there.

Jan - The D was a huge hit! I drove there with the guy who owns the Knight Rider car, and between us both, I'd say we were among the most popular of vehicles. In this corner of the country, Deloreans would be an uncommon sight, there are only two here!

Dermot - You're right, there wasn't a bad looking car there. They were all minters!! The P1800 was the nicest by far.

Martin I've just been on DOI and seen your post about Garvagh I might take a rake up its my weekend off

Dont think mine will be on the road by then unless a miracle happens. Ive left it with the mechanic that he will ring me when its sorted as far as he can take it with the budget I've allowed him. Hes flat out with his other customers cars so mines like a side project for him and I have to remind myself that at times as frustrating as it is. :s
