DeLorean for sale near my office

I posted this here:http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?31...l=1#post115465 a couple of days ago.

Now it appears the owner is selling these cars. This car is literally a hundred yards from my office. If anyone is interested, PM me and I can assist in gathering additional information.

No idea if it runs, drives, what works, what doesn't, etc. There is some sun damage to the rear fascia paint that I noticed and a couple of small dings in the SS panels. The driver door appears to be out of alignment OR not shut properly on the rear latch.

    Here's the Craigslist ad: http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/3989105292.html

I have not met the owner yet. He has some additional cars for sale too.

This isn't my car so that's why I'm posting it in the Open section.

I like this part of the ad: keywords: classic hot rod muscle 5.0 ls1 lt1 chevy dodge hemi 5.7 6.1 supercharger turbo

all of which make me think "DeLorean"

What's up with the shifter plate? Looks like the aftermarket SS one, but with the slots removed.

I am just looking at the ad on my phone (so I can't see in detail very well), but they definitely don't look like the OEM seatcovers. They appear to be some sort of recover job... they aren't poorly done, though.

The front end looks like it is ready to go off roading...

I saw your original spotting of the car, then saw chris put the car up on the DFS page. What are the chances, I had a little laugh.

The seat covers may be custom or from Special T. I know he sells covers without the pleats.

No wonder the guy hasn't sold it! Terrible ad with 2 pictures and no details. Very lazy and either ignorant or doesn't know how to sell a car online.

I will comment that this car is not in "awesome shape" as described. It's going to be a project for someone.

I did notice he pulled the $22k Craigslist ad a couple of weeks ago. I verified the car is still sitting in the same position and/or parking spot that it was a couple of months ago. It's being stored outside in the Texas sun.
