    Replacing outer door seal

I removed my driver side rear quarter panel for repairs, and in the process I had to remove the outer door seal since it was attached to it. It appears to be fairly old, so this is the perfect time to replace it. What do you use to reattach it back to the body? Is there an adhesive that is commonly used here? Let me know what you have done. Thanks!

I would give you my answer but I already posted it in this thread below.

You can also use the adhesive to reattach the rubber seal on the underside of your hood (bonnet).

Great resource. When I searched earlier, I didn't click on that thread because the title didn't stand out to me. Lesson learned. Thanks!

3M Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive. Part 08008.

    You are welcome.
I hopefully don’t appear to be difficult by not providing an answer but providing links to the answer.

That adhesive works too good. If your ever try to remove the old adhesive (after many months or years) that stuff is as hard as a rock.
You can soften it by applying 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner part 08984 or use Goof Off or Goo Gone and lots and lots of scraping.

Use the adhesive sparingly. So later if you have to remove the seal there will not be a lot of clean up.
Just apply a very thin coat to both surfaces, let dry until it’s tacky, then stick together. It will stay stuck together forever it’s that good.
