I'm looking for a piece like what's shown in this photo. Will be to convert from draw-through to blow-through turbo.

Just wondering if anybody knew if there was an off the shelf version that fits, or if I'm going to have to machine one.

That was a part custom made by DMC California years ago. Might call and see if they have any leftovers on the shelf at this point.

Curious, how do they accommodate an air filter with this modification?

It's sold as a DIY part where it's up to the owner to fit it out as desired.

Not sure how others have used it but normally you'd just pick out your piping, couplers, and attach a cone filter to the end. I would be curious to see some examples, though.

Here's mine. Air filter is in right pontoon.

I'm assuming they allow quite a bit more air into the engine.

Probably not enough to make a significant difference on a naturally aspirated motor. Stock airbox doesn't seem to be quite as restrictive as it looks.

From testing I can tell you that the induction system is restrictive on a draw-through turbo. Not sure what part is the greatest choke point, but the pre-throttle part of the manifold will begin to see vacuum again at about 2lbs boost. I took some steps to reduce the pressure but conversion to blow through should help all around.

I needed something that could be positively attached to the metering head and take about 6-7lbs boost leak free. After talking with Danny at DMC California this should fit the bill nicely. There would be no productive way to rework the stock airbox for such an arrangement.
