They're STILL not up here! I had to travel down to Toronto a few weeks ago, and managed to pick up 16 FTE and 5 BTTF cars (busier stores along the only North-South corridor). Otherwise, I've been waiting to see them on local shelves.

Found 3 Gold ones at my local CVS last week, but other than that, I have struck out everywhere else I look.

I've found ONE lone BTTF hotwheels, none of the black stripe car, and a left over black car.

Seems pickins' are getting slim down here

I've found a single black one and that's IT. No love for Florida, I guess.

Still no sign of FTE or BTTF hotwheels here in Atlantic Canada. Course, maybe it is just here....

What's the appeal of these? Why collect so many? Are they going to be super valuable?

I'm honestly just curious. I have one black one and have no desire for any more.

    Good question Dave.

Many people gather them to give out to kids at car shows etc. I have a set of 5 on my desk, and my son has a set in his room. (I gave one to the tow truck driver last month for his son - just spreading the good word)

Valuable? Perhaps. First edition silver ones get listed for $10 on ebay. Whether anyone buys them at that price, is of course another question.

I just think of it as an insanely cheap hobby really. For the price of under $2, finding a few of them every now and then is just fun.

I have something planned out that I want to do with my Hotwheels, its why I pick up any that I run across. As a matter of fact I plan to hit all the Kroger's this weekend. I went to the one by my house a month ago and pulled 10 gold, 5 black and 3 ecto 1's. I'm hoping to do much better when I go to all of the stores.
