The body sculpt on that Hot Wheels looks loads better than the SunStar model. The front fender area of the Suntar is all out of proportion.

Went by Walmart for a few things and decided to pop in o the HW section to see if the New Waves were in yet. Dug for a few minutes and I swear I was on my last handful before calling it and I turned over a red car. I wasn't even expecting to see the Reds in this soon and I almost didn't catch it. That compelled me to keep digging get and I got a total of 5 reds and an extra silver leftover. I never noticed that there were no front or rear details on the last few batches.

I am getting ready for a new model project in the next few weeks, but before I start, I think I'm going to try and put fiber optic lights on one of these things...just to see if it can be done.

You guys are finding the New Wave cars???

Oh man, I need to start sending people into the stores to find me red and NW ones. If I don't get at least 2 of each somehow I'm gonna be sad (one to store and one to play with, of course!)

After reading the updates to the thread today, I had to make a Walmart run. Found a New Wave! Gosh are these ugly. And twice the price of a standard HotWheel to boot. Still, $2 is a steal compared to eBay prices for any of these. No luck on finding any red ones at either Walmart or Target.

No wonder I didn't find them, the new waves are probably in a different section.

    Alabama doesn't like DeLoreans...

I've been searching for Hot Wheels DeLoreans for well over a year now.
It seems there are as rare here as Real ones.?
I've only found one, and I had to drive 25+ miles to find it.?
(Although my son bought me one around 6 years ago because he knew I wanted a real one).

The two New Waves I found recently had 2012 on their cards. I'm not sure if that was just when they were printed or if they were a 2012 release. The stores around me are reorganizing their Hot Wheels isles. Today I saw 3 random cars on twenty something empty pegs and no dump box in sight.
