Although I would never do that to mine, that polished look does do something positive for it. The only thing is when something is that shiny, the imperfections do tend to be more obvious, and that hood has some serious imperfection going on. It looks like a wavy ocean of liquid mercury.

Didn't you post this a few months ago?

Wouldn't it be worth seeing a grained rally stripe down one side(like the new Hot Wheels cars) except instead of the stripe being black, it was grained stainless...or vice versa. A stainless car with a mirror accent stripe. Just a thought from an artist with 2 (large) glasses of Pinot in him.

Not sure where I read/heard this, but I seem to recall reading/hearing that the local police asked the owner not to drive this car on clear sun-shiny days or at night, at the reflective nature of the finely polished stainless was deemed a nuisance/hazard to other drivers.

Anyone else know anything about this, or am I just going crazy?

hello chris , I think I seen this add a while back for $19,000 ( new front frame extention) does it mean that frame had rusted?

Probably was. The rest of the frame may be ok. No way to tell without frame pics.

This car is no different than an 18 wheeler with a polished tanker.

I fully agree. I wasn't arguing the merits of the matter - only wondering if anyone else recalls having read/heard this story somewhere or if I'm thinking of something else and incorrectly relating it to the DeLorean.

I had heard that story on one of the other mirrored car, but it is possibly just an urban legend. Even pickup trucks with flat chrome bumpers would have the same problem.

We had discussed this HI car here:

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

This was the previous listing when it did not sell (reserve not met):

Click on "See original listing" to see more photos of the car.
    Always a filled fuel tank.

OK, so I'm not the only one - I'm not losing it yet (not that I ever had it to begin with)

    Thanks Dermot!
