    Electric DeLoreans

Following the news that students at my alma mater are embarking on an electric conversion of a DeLorean, I thought I would catalog the various electric conversions over the past few years.

I thought there were 4 others, but it turns out that there are at least 7 others

In chronological order, I think they are:

2005 vin04079 Bob and Ryan Brandys, Hinsdale, IL, USA DC Motor with 5.7 kWh Li-Ion Battery Pack

2008 vin05844 Dave Delman, NY, USA -DC Motor with sealed Lead Acid batteries

2010 vin10458?? An AC conversion in Italy. 93kW motor with 24kWh Li-Ion battery pack

    2012 vin05452 A conversion in Australia – 135kW DC with 60Ah battery

    2012 A conversion in Japan. Li-Ion Battery

2012 vin06566 DMC Houston, TX, USA 200kW DC Motor with Li-Ion Phosphate Battery pack

2013 QUBNI Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland – technology to be determined

    Anyone know of any others?

In the posts below, I hope to describe the technology used, specifications, etc. If anyone has better info, (especially the people mentioned), please feel free to add/correct.
