My VIN:    Former owner of 10439 Currently own 06291

    Club(s):   (DMA) (LINY-DMC) (DCUK)

Purchased 10439 and transported from Wilmington NC to Bethpage NY

I wanted to thank everyone on the forum that has been real helpful with guidance and advice on how to buy a Delorean. There is a steep learning curve to figuring out what a good car is. The car I purchased has a lot of the major things done to it already. It still needs some things but will do over time. And.. just my luck. No more than 30 min after I loaded the car on my trailer, it rained the whole way home

    What the car has:
Everything was done at DMC midwest 11/12 400 miles ago.
Stage II motor with exhaust completed
New seat covers and carpet done last year
New fuel pump/fuel accumlator/ rebuilt fuel distributor / integrated pump with sender / flushed tank
new breaks calipers, ss lines and rotors
new clutch and clutch ss hose and slave cylinder
    prem relay kit
Powder coated wheels and new tires
all the grounds have been gone thru
    140 amp alternator
    new shift bushings
    New radiator
    LED door lights
eyebrows removed and new hood latches installed.
new window motors r and L
    there is a lot more.

    What the car needs:
Front and rear fascias need to be refinished.
Head liner is faded and needs to be replaced
steering wheel and center cover need to be replaced
the trip reset is broken (will add the 140 speedo)
both doors leak, I have to find and replace seals
car has a slight pull to the right. (will have aligned)
    engine cover is cracked
engine bay needs to be painted on the firewalls.

Will keep everyone posted on the progress. I am so happy to be a part of this community and again thanks everyone!

    Adam

Congrats and welcome. Now you just have to move the corvette out of the garage so the D has room.

You definitely need to get in touch with the Long Island Group by contacting Tom (tommyrich). These guys are the best and meet often. They will also be attending DCS this year so there may be an opportunity to follow them to Ohio.
