It's a reproduction made by the team at Barris East Coast.

That makes sense why it was reported as a screen used car then. It's nice to see that even a cease and desist order from Universal won't even curb some peoples drive for publicity

I wonder what size rear tires those are? 245? 255? Looks like the fronts might be a size bigger, too.

I don't recall whether the DMC-12 ever made an inaugural appearance at the Detroit International Auto Show back in the day.

There was a little research done on this topic a few years ago. No display in 1981, but, IIRC, the 1982 display was similar to the Chicago Auto Show.

Sad how they lump in the BTTF DeLorean with all the other cars they created, as if they built the original as well.
