I like both, but I prefer the silver.

Definitely prefer the lighter silver rims. The rear wheel closeups during the mall scene in BTTF are ingrained in my mind, watching the car slide around like that and then burnout with those wheels spinning is iconic to me.
That said, when I'm in the market I wouldn't pass up a good deal on an early car with darker wheels, they're still nice.

My car came with the dark grey wheels and I absolutely couldn't stand them. They look dirty no matter how clean you get them. I had them powder coated to the silver color of the later cars and I think they look so much better. Since then I have switched to 17" and 18" XXR wheels, but I strongly prefer silver to the dark grey.

Getting back to interiors I've always liked a saddle brown interior but not sure how that would go with our cars.

I vote for dark! I am going to get mine done in a gun-metal type color when i get my wheels refinished. I like the contrast.

Oh, medium rare, a little pink inside.
(...sorry I thought you said how do you like your "bun" Clark. Light or dark?)
Sept. 81, auto, black interior
The original prototype (Proto 1) had saddle brown interior & it looked great. Many classic Euro cars came with saddle interiors and silver exteriors. I think it's a very classy combo. I really wish the saddle interiors had made it into production as was planned for the '84 model year.
With DeLorean reproduction carpets now being made in an array of colors, I still think it'd be great to see a black interior DeLorean with saddle tan carpets & headliners. Lots of modern cars implement this color combination & it looks fantastic.

I prefer the dark grey...with the side stripe...and a gas flap hood!
Having said that, the wheels from 1045 will be going onto 1729 soon.
