    For the Jurassic Park fans...

Two things that I didn't think I'd find today,

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/JURASSIC-PARK-Lost-World-MOBILE-LAB-RV-1997-Original-Screen-Used-Movie-Prop-/331115447671?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d1804 c577

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/JURASSIC-PAR...31115447671%26

I have actually thought about bidding on the first, but highly doubt I could meet the reserve. Wonder what the RV would cost to ship?

Cool stuff!! That movie is so cool, I bought it in 3d the other day.
Lol. 50k seems like a lot for a cage. What would I do with it??

The truck has not reached 10k up to now. But the cage is at about 100k. I would say the bids up to 10k would have been serious. But the rest not.

I take it you haven't seen many examples of screen-used prop auctions? That stuff goes for crazy money. I agree anyone spending $100,000+ on such a large useless thing is silly, but I'm not too terribly surprised at the price.

Yes, you're right. Only the auction for the BTTF time machine. So I was amazed that the truck got so few bids and the cage so many. But maybe this will change in 7 days, when the auctions end is near.

Props from the original Jurrasic park are much more sought after than anything from the sequels so I'm not surprised to see the raptor cage going for way more than the RV. Jurassic Park is an iconic film. The Lost Word....not so much.

Plus the space claim of that RV is absolutely rediculous. My guess is whoever buys it will probably put it right back into storage. It would be cool to see it fixed up and put on display but the cost to do that would probably exceed the sale price of the RV itself.

The prices so far don't seem out of the ordinary ... if you're not familiar with prop auctions check out Profiles In History and see what this type of stuff typically goes for.
