    Engine donor?

Not a dirt cheap starting price but interesting to see if anyone bites. I've recently become curious how much other PRV equipped cars are selling for. For some reason or another I'm having a hard time believing they've seen these cars go for $8K!!

Yeah I think it has also. Wonder what the story behind it is

I think you hit the Alpine nail right on the head for me: it's not a gorgeous car as much as it is so Gallic strange and intriguing. A sports car but not a Porsche 911 or Corvette. Too French to ever be confused with a BMW or Audi. Its PRV can only make the DMC faithful envious...

The Alpine single bbl / two bbl setup is the same system that was used on the carbed Peugeot 604s.

The single Solex 34 is the primary carb. The two bbl Solex 35 are vacuum operated secondaries. Functionally its the same concept as a Quadrajet with vacuum secondaries, the Alpine / Peugeot system just uses two carbs rather than a single unit.

I am running a Peugeot sourced system on 5052. The biggest issue I have run into has been the coolant operated choke thermostat.
