Interesting...I think you definitely need it around the outside of the rims too to pull off that look! Cool.

Reminds me of the Lamborghini from Automan

I have reflective tape under my rub strips that give a similar look. Been meaning to test out putting the tape along the panel seams to get the Automan look.

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

I don't usually like when people do stupid things to their car, but that looks pretty awesome. I personally would probably rock that look for a few months before I got tired of it and took it off. But it does look pretty damn cool.

The URL's totalkontrolle.com . Is this just reflective tape? I've always thought a DeLorean would look good with a TRON theme, thanks to is very angular shape... Now I know that I thought correctly.

Thanks for the website. I looked it up and the tape is a non electrical highly reflective vinyl that's sold in sheets so you can pretty much make any type of pattern and not just lines. It goes under the brand name "Illumiglloow". Pretty cool stuff but not really for a DeLorean IMO unless it's a highly customized car to begin with.

You can get reflective tape and sheets from Beacon Graphics, in a variety of colours. Search 'reflective' on their site.

I took a sheet of 3M reflective and did the "DeLorean" on my bumper. Looks black in daylight and indirect light, reflects bright white with direct light.

Photos taken with no light (no flash) vs. flash (to simulate headlights). I will try to get a photo of the tape under my rub strips, same effect as above, but I have the white stuff.

You could always go to Radioshack as well and buy a bunch of EL wire, which is low voltage. I remember the show Automan- loved how he'd turn a corner in his car at 90 degrees and the guy who programmed him would always smash up against the door....
